After reaping the rewards of signing Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes, Real Madrid’s next big Brazilian investment was Endrick.

After finalising his contract with Real Madrid in 2022, the young phenomenon arrived in Madrid earlier this year and was presented in front of more than 45,000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

His start to the season in terms of playing minutes has however been far from expectations as he has only played 28 minutes in Real Madrid’s four league games so far.

Endrick is unhappy

As revealed by AS in a recent update, the new player feels he is not getting the playing time he deserves at Real Madrid. He knows he is an important member of the team but he is “bitter” about his current playing time.

It was a bittersweet year for the teenage phenomenon, both at club and international level.

For Real Madrid, the protégé not only made his debut this year, but also scored his first goal in the team’s 3-0 win over Real Valladolid. However, he is far from a starter and has only come on for a few minutes in each game.

For his country, Endrick has become a mainstay of the Brazil senior team this year, scoring sensational goals at Wembley, Santiago Bernabeu and even against Mexico and registering himself as the fourth youngest goalscorer in Brazil’s history.

Its recent form with the SelectionHowever, was disappointing and he was even withdrawn after just 45 minutes following a poor performance against Paraguay.

Endrick’s poor form with Brazil can be attributed to a lack of regular minutes, while his reduced playing time is directly linked to serious competition from Real Madrid.

So all eyes are on Carlo Ancelotti to see how he handles the Endrick situation.
